{"id":30073,"date":"2026-01-28T16:28:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T15:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/t-defence.it\/?p=30073"},"modified":"2026-01-28T16:28:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T15:28:23","slug":"iris-space-programme-information-day-at-polimi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/t-defence.it\/en\/iris-space-programme-information-day-at-polimi\/","title":{"rendered":"Information day on the IRIDE space programme at PoliMI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Today our Defenders Natascia Kurek and Flaminia Sarnari are at the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Milan Polytechnic<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to participate in the\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Information day dedicated to the IRIDE space programme<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">during which representatives of <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">European Space Agency<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (ESA), <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Italian Space Agency<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (ASI) and <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Copernicus User Forum<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to share objectives, progress and perspectives of the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">IRIDE is one of the most ambitious European Earth Observation projects, promoted by the\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Italian Government<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0with the support of ESA and ASI. The system includes constellations of LEO satellites (Low Earth\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Orbit<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">), ground-based operational infrastructure and advanced geospatial services.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This project involves a national chain of excellence and has a concrete impact on environmental monitoring, natural resource management, civil protection and satellite-based applications.
